K-MUG Machine Learning Day’2016 in Kochi

We, K-MUG is conducting a “Machine Learning Day” in Kochi on 9th July 2016. I invite you to attend this event to know whether ML in Data Science is just a hype. Entry is free but registration is required.
I will be handling Microsoft Azure Machine Learning session and will see if I get time for a hands on demonstration.
Btw, flyer also designed by me for K-MUG 😉

Lambda architecture

Nathan Marz came up with the term Lambda Architecture (LA) for a generic, scalable and fault-tolerant data processing architecture, based on his experience working on distributed data processing systems at Backtype and Twitter. Read more here.

Wiki says – Lambda architecture is a data-processing architecture designed to handle massive quantities of data by taking advantage of both batch- and stream-processing methods. This approach to architecture attempts to balance latency, throughput, and fault-tolerance by using batch processing to provide comprehensive and accurate views of batch data, while simultaneously using real-time stream processing to provide views of online data. The two view outputs may be joined before presentation. The rise of lambda architecture is correlated with the growth of big data, real-time analytics, and the drive to mitigate the latencies of map-reduce.

Deep Learning

“Deep learning is a set of algorithms in machine learning that attempt to model high-level abstractions in data by using architectures composed of multiple non-linear transformations.”

Here is a good reading on the same from Analytics Vidya, which now a days is one of my favorite site which deals with Big Data and Analysis.
